What Counts as Usage
AI checks
One check is one prompt answered by one AI engine — a prompt run against ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI (Gemini) uses three. Scheduled checks, the first check of a new prompt and checks your AI agent runs all count.
Every plan's allowance is sized to cover all of its tracked prompts at the plan's check frequency in the longest month (five Mondays on weekly plans), plus a first check for every prompt you add. A full prompt library never runs out of checks before the month does. If your prompt limit is raised, your check allowance rises with it.
Two things are deliberately free:
- Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode - These are SERP fetches rather than LLM calls, so they ride along without using checks. Tracking all five surfaces costs the same as tracking the three conversational ones.
- Repeated sampling runs - When a prompt is under active measurement, the extra repetitions and alternate phrasings behind its stability reading are never billed to you. Only the primary check counts.
Site audits
Each page audit (Quick Scan, scheduled or bulk scan) is counted separately against the same monthly number.
AI Suggestions
Each time you request suggestions in the Optimizer, it counts against your limit.
What Happens at Limit
When you reach your limit:
- You can still access existing data
- New checks, audits or suggestions are blocked until the reset
- Monthly allowances reset on the 1st of each month (UTC)
- Upgrade anytime for immediate access
